FEED SOLUTIONS

Antibacterial Peptide

A Cecropin-based functional feed ingredient available in water-soluble and feed grades, supported by referenced HPLC, antibacterial-screening and stability data.

Evidence-Based Feed Solution

Referenced testing indicates approximately 10% active peptide component and 90.3% activity retention after a 120°C pelleting test.

PRODUCT & MODE OF ACTION

Cecropin-based functional feed ingredient

Antibacterial peptide powder with feed pellets and an illustrated peptide-chain background

With 20 years of international export experience, Winstar Ingredients supplies a Cecropin-based functional feed ingredient formulated with Cecropin as the key peptide component together with selected Bacillus- and yeast-derived functional components. Referenced HPLC testing indicates an active peptide component of approximately 10%.

The proposed mode of action is based on cationic peptide structures interacting with susceptible bacterial membranes. Laboratory findings support technical evaluation for feed-hygiene and intestinal-environment programs; actual performance depends on the supplied grade, target organism, inclusion level, feed matrix, processing conditions and farm environment.

LABORATORY EVIDENCE

Referenced laboratory and stability data

The figures below are laboratory or controlled-test results for referenced samples. They are not universal commercial specifications, disease-treatment claims or guarantees of animal performance. The current TDS, agreed specification and batch COA govern each supply.

Aerobic Bacteria

Referenced agar-diffusion testing documented activity against selected E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus strains.

Anaerobic Bacteria

Referenced testing also included Clostridium perfringens and Riemerella anatipestifer. Test conditions and supplied grade should be reviewed before comparison.

MIC Reference

Referenced technical materials report MIC values of 2–4 μg/mL against selected test strains. Confirm the organism, method, test conditions and applicability to the supplied commercial grade.

APPLICATION & DOCUMENTATION

Select the grade for feed or drinking-water use

Available options include a water-soluble grade for drinking-water programs and a feed grade for premix or complete-feed application. The referenced product retained 98.5%, 95.2% and 90.3% activity after pelleting tests at 80°C, 100°C and 120°C, respectively. Please provide the animal species, delivery route, feed format, processing temperature, intended inclusion level and destination market for technical review.
